It was confirmed on Monday morning that Ethan Hayter will be riding all the way up to 2024 for Ineos Grenadiers. His contract has been extended according to what Ethan said in the press release:
I am really proud to extend my contract with the team and keep racing as a Grenadier. The goal is clear – to kick on and win more WorldTour races, have a go at the World Champs, and get some Grand Tours under my belt
Although Ethan has to make his grand debut at the Grand Tour yet, nevertheless he is world class rider. His younger brother, Leo Hayter, also just hoped on board with the team. Rod Ellingworth, the deputy principal of the team was all praise for the riding champion:
He’s at the forefront of the young group we are building here, and we have been delighted with his development and attitude. I’m so excited about what he can go on to achieve in the sport and it will be great to see him racing alongside his brother Leo
Ethan feels comfortable at Ineos Grenadiers because he thinks that the environment is perfect to grow and work on oneself:
I believe I am in the best environment to continue winning over the coming seasons
At just 23 years of age, Ethan already has 16 wins to his name. This includes big wins like the British time trial title, the Giro dell’Appennino, and the Tour of Norway. He has also won stages at Vuelta a Andalucía, Tour de Romandie and the Volta ao Algarve. He turned professional in 2020. 2022 has proven to be his best year as he took two stage wins at Romandie and the overall title at Tour de Pologne.
