Jumbo-Visma has yet again overpowered everyone today at the Tour of Denmark. The team took not one but two important positions at the podium on stage 3 and showed everyone what their true potential is. Olav Kooij came first again, following a wonderful win on stage 1, followed by his teammate Christophe Laporte who finished second. Magnus Cort (EF Education-EasyPost) ended up taking the third position.

The 239km race was vast spread and came with two categorized climbs but the seven gravel sectors were the true dare. Initially, twelve riders broke away from the peloton and took the lead. While approaching the first climb, Bøgh Wallin (Restaurant Suri – Carl Ras) took 12 points in the mountain classification, and when the second climb came in Frederik Irgens Jensen (BHS – PL Beton Bornholm) outdid Wallin but Wallin still stayed in the lead at the mountain classification with 44 points.
After the peloton had crossed the gravel sectors in the pouring rain, the initial attack came in by Soren Kragh Andersen (Team DSM) who led Josef Cerny and Zdenek Stybar (QuickStep-AlphaVinyl) all the way until it all came down to only 40 km. However, inside the final lap, all three of them lost their lead and were out-ruled by Matias Malmberg (Team ColoQuick).

Malmberg gave his best but he was no match for the Jumbo-Visma duo who sealed the day.
