As she made recovery from a broken collar bone, Katie Archibald has yet again suffered ligament damage as a result of being hit by a heedless car driver on Sunday. On Wednesday, the British star revealed that she was hit by a car when the driver failed to see her at the T-junction and made her see stars in the broad daylight.
While confessing the happening of Sunday on social media, Archibald said that the day was lovely and clear but the driver, somehow, failed to see her.
She reflected upon the horrific memories:
Last Sunday I went flying over the bonnet of a 4×4. Lovely clear day but the driver who turned into me while I was riding past a T junction didn’t see me.
The ligaments in both my ankles aren’t happy (grade 1 unhappiness in my right ankle and grade 2 unhappiness in my left) but are all still attached, and the only thing broken is my bike. We also think I’ve avoided another serious concussion, and the 3.5 ligaments in my dodgy right knee have survived, so celebrations are in order for that.
2022 might not be the year for the 28-year-old star as she had just recovered from a broken collar bone, which she endured at the National Cup event in April.
Just two weeks after making a return announcement through a post online, she is forced to yet again give her bike some more rest. Katie further expressed:
Life is long. That’s my update. Promise we’ll be back to Good News the next time I post; these ones are getting boring.

The consecutive two-year Olympic gold medalist was all set to represent Scotland in the commonwealth games, held in London in July but will she be able to do so? Guess we will have to wait to find that out. We wish a speedy recovery to the Olympic star.
