BikeExchange-Jayco has enjoyed a great cycling season this year, let’s take Simon Yates as an example when he achieved the overall second position at Paris-Nice. Hopes and preparations were very high for E3 Saxo Bank Classic, but the team experienced a freak event when Lawson Craddock crashed pre-race and had to abandon the event.
Shortly after BikeExchange-Jayo presented the team for the event, Craddock could be seen on the ground nursing to his wounds after suffering from a freak pre-race crash. Apparently, he had been knocked out of balance. After the team medics carefully examined him, it was decided that he would not be starting the race because of his condition.
Craddock is currently being examined in a hospital in Waregem, various tests alongside X-rays are being taken. Although there are no serious injuries, extra precaution is being taken with him. Craddock had high hopes for the cobbled Classics after his first signup with BikeExchange-Jayco.
Luke Durbridge will now be leading BikeExchnage-Jayco for the event in Craddock’s absence. Stay tuned for more updates!
