Cube Acid is a hardtail mountain bike ideal for pro and semi-pro users. It’s highly affordable, and delivers amazing features for the price. This model is perfect for handling tough mountain roads and worry less about impact. It’s also quite good looking in design.
As far as mountain bikes go, Cube Acid is a solid product. We loved riding this model during out review. This model made up smile, but didn’t exactly made us go ‘whoa.’
Cube is a German brand so these bikes are priced low compared to US and UK produced mountain bikes. The low price doesn’t mean that the performance suffers. We were never disappointed by the performance. The bikes in the model are all-round easy to handle. You can be confident when navigating rough terrain.
This model can handle different types of terrain. The bikes were surprisingly stable even when elevation of the road varies significantly. Impact didn’t make a bother, so riding was simple and very confident. Do not expect smooth and nimble rides though.
One of the problem with Acid is that it’s not the lightest bike available. The weights are sometimes well over 25 lbs, so jumps can be troublesome. Regardless, we liked the overall performance. We also have to mention the luggage rack which was decently placed so the rides won’t be himdered.
Design wise, the model is quite casual. Some may be put off by the lack of race-bredness of this model. But don’t be. Looks aside, this is a great mountain bike.
+Pros:
Solid design
Handles different types of terrain well
Low prices
Good overall performance
-Cons:
On the heavy side
Not nimble or smooth
The Verdict
We can confidently say that Cube Acid is an excellent mountain bike considering the retail price.
If you are looking for reliability over nimbleness, then this would be the ideal bike model for you. Cube Acid can handle a variety of roads. You will not be disappointed with this model if you are a pro or a semi-pro.
