Are you looking for a bike that is wholly and completely focused on speed? If so, the Fuji Transonic is going to soon be one of your favorite bikes. The Transonic boasts a carbon frame and carbon fork. It weighs a little over 7.5 kilos. This bike is on the higher end of the price spectrum.
One word describes the overall appearance of the Fuji Transonic perfectly: sleek. This bike has been created with the sole purpose of being as fast as possible. You can tell just by the aerodynamic structure of the bike.
At this point, we were all just raring to go so we wasted no time in hopping on the bike and just taking off. Without an ounce of exaggeration, it was easy to claim that we could not remember the last time that we had gone faster on a bike. The Transonic simply flew.
This, however, was not the only talked about feature on this bike. We were similarly impressed by the steering and handling of the Transonic. It was wonderfully on point and did not deviate in the slightest. This bike was also quite good at rolling with the punches. Even on uneven ground, it did quite well making sure that we barely felt anything at all.
While it is clear to see that this is strictly a racing bike, we did head to higher ground to see what we could make of the Transonic. On the less extreme inclines, the bike performs quite well. Anything more challenging, however, and you are going to feel some serious lag. The Transonic is better off on flat surfaces and we did not mind that one bit.
When you are going that fast, you are definitely going to want brakes that can respond appropriately to that kind of speed. We were very relieved to discover that the Transonic brakes are up to par. They do help stop on a dime, although again we felt they were better on flat terrain.
+Pros:
Lightweight frame
Comfortable ride
Incredibly fast
Good brakes
Works well on flat terrain
-Cons:
Does not perform as well uphill
Expensive
The Verdict
The Fuji Transonic will make all of your speed dreams come true. Riding this bike is an absolute wonderful experience.
While the Fuji Transonic is far from being cheap, if you like to go fast, then this is definitely a bike that you need.
