Mongoose Legion Review
There is little to information regarding just how heavy the Legion is. Mongoose, as with most brands, are being quite secretive about exactly how much the Legion weighs. However, we put it at around 12 kilos. This feels just about right, particularly when you are trying to pull off a trick. Depending on the rider it can feel a little heavy but for the most part it is at the perfect weight.
Of course, one of the most important parts of a BMX bike is just how much abuse it can really take. This, perhaps, is one of the best features of this bike. Regardless of what you decide to do, this bike is really going to come through for you. Sometimes, you just cannot ask for more. The bike can also stand up to most terrain. On a side note, this bike will continue to perform well even with a set of pegs. This makes it perfect for anyone trying to learn and throw some grinds.
While the Mongoose Legion is all around a good bike, it is properly better suited to those just learning the craft. An expert might require just a little something more from their bike. Nonetheless, you can expect nothing but good results from the Legion. This is especially true when you check out the price tag. Although not dirt cheap, it is certainly on the lower to the mid-range of the price spectrum. It is really not bad considering all that you are getting for the price tag.
In terms of comfort, this may also not be the most comfortable bike around. Of course, if you are just hoping to pop tricks, it should not be too much of a problem for you.
+Pros:
- Competitive Pricing
- Good frame
- Incredibly durable
- Good for beginners
-Cons:
- Can be a little heavy for some riders
- Seat is not very comfortable
The Verdict
The Mongoose Legion is a great way to get started in the world of BMX.
If you are looking for an affordable model that will also provide you with a quality ride then you really will have to look no further. The Mongoose Legion will be the bike that you will need.
