Kona Unit 2021 Satin Fatigue Green Satin Fatigue
Kona Unit Hardtail BikeVersatile, agile and stylish, the Kona Unit is a single-speed hardtail with a Reynolds 520 Chromoly frame and Kona Plus fork with multiple cargo mounts to organise your luggage conveniently. Also, it features a superb component spec, Boost-spaced thru-axles and hydraulic disc brakes to get you from A to B with the greatest efficiency, stability and control.Durable, Versatile and StylishHardcore, dependable and versatile, the Unit does not mess around. Its single-speed design and Chromoly frame make its simplicity shine and keep the moving parts long-lasting for those big excursions. Gear mounts on the fork legs and several options for mounting water bottles mean you won’t go without any of the necessary gear no matter where you’re travelling. Reynolds 520 ChromolyReynolds 520 tubes are mandrel-butted for accurate profiles and available in a wide range of shapes. Weight savings from butting provides competitively priced, light framesets that are noticeably compliant on the road or the trail and are guaranteed to last a lifetime. 44mm Oversized HeadtubeBy using a 44mm oversized headtube, Kona is able to run tapered steerer forks while using a large external lower cup headset bearing. The larger diameter steerer tube adds considerable stiffness and will increase responsiveness to the front end, improving all-around performance. 12mm Thru Axles12x142mm, 12×148 and 12×157 rear axle standards provide two major advantages to the Kona rider: the 12mm diameter of the rear axle provides the rear hub and frame with a stiff interface, while the 142/148/157mm outer diameter of the hub allows the wheel to be quickly and properly positioned in the frame before the rear axle is inserted. For 2017, you’ll see the 12×148 Boost standard in the mix. Boost spacing provides more tire clearance at the chainstay yoke, while the rear wheel is stiffer and more durable relative to a 12×142 thru-axle. Tubeless Compatible RimsTubeless rims allow for tyres with more puncture resistance; the ability to run lower tyre pressure, which provides better tyre grip on the trail; lower rolling resistance; and weight savings over traditional tube and tyre systems.
