Niner Jet Review
When we took the Niner Jet out for a spin, we realized that it was truly the best bike for downhill racing that we have tried to date.
The frame is based on a solid design instead of being about the formation of little airbags, which means that there is a lot of weight loss when compared to previous models of the Jet. The frame itself is made out of carbon fiber with a 120mm travel fork on the front as well.
The angles of the frame and head are made for climbing up and down hills, with the back of the bike being a little longer to allow for better traction on the sharp descents.
In addition to this, the suspension is Niner’s own CVA system, making use of dual links for better damping of the worst bumps out there. There is almost no pedal bob while riding this bike, and we found that it was a very fulfilling experience.

The Verdict
This is a bike that isn’t made for the faint of heart. With its gorgeous design, handling and power, this is a bike that is built to destroy the harshest trails with ease.
We had the best time in the world playing around with the Niner Jet, although we did realize soon enough that playing was far too casual a term to be using around a monster like this. We recommend that you get this bike if you plan on busting your lungs every week.
NINER JET 9 RDO 4-STAR BIKE 2020Trail riding continues to become one of the most popular forms of riding due to the advancements in suspension and drivetrain technology. The 2020 Jet 9 RDO is a pure-blooded trail bike with front and rear suspension that delivers an ultra-plush ride. It starts with Niner’s RDO carbon frame that is lightweight and trail worthy. The frame features Niner’s CVA, or Constant Varying Arc, suspension design which lets you climb efficiently and descend smoothly. It features Boost hub spacing on the front and rear that delivers a stiffer and more predictable ride. The frame is compatible with either 29×2.5″ tires or 27.5×3.0″ tires so you can have the ultimate traction for any terrain. You can route a dropper post internally or externally and the Jet 9 RDO is electronic drivetrain wiring friendly.The 4-Star version of the Jet 9 RDO features a Shimano XT 12-speed drivetrain. It comes with a XT shifter, XT rear derailleur, XT chain, and Shimano 10-51 tooth cassette that provides gearing for every terrain. When you’re at the top of the mountain, the Shimano XT hydraulic disc brakes will provide the confidence inspiring braking power for the descent. The 4-Star features a Fox Float 34 Float Factory front fork with 130mm of travel and a Fox Float Factory DPS rear shock with 120mm of travel. With the KS Lev SI dropper seat post, you’ll be able to descend down the mountain safely with a lower center of gravity and then hit the handlebar mounted lever and lift the post back up so you can climb again efficiently.
