It was being speculated if Tadej will be able to perform today, as he just lost his wingman Rafal Majka to a strained thigh. Nevertheless, Pogacar left no room for doubts about his performance with, winning stage 17.
On the last 100 meters, Tadej flew like a falcon, sprinting at a speed so high that no one was able to catch up to him except for Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma), who was right behind him. Vingegaard has vowed to hang on to Pogačar throughout the Tour. Brandon McNulty (UAE Team Emirates) stood third.
